Take Care of Your Family's Wellness Proactively
Helping people of all ages get healthier, feel better and live longer.
Our medical providers go beyond what you would expect from a typical primary care practice. The difference is, instead of getting you in and out as quickly as possible, we take the time to learn about your life and the way you live it. This allows us to help you stay healthy and live a longer, higher quality life.
When treating illness, our providers always look for the most effective, yet least invasive options first. Our medical providers prescribe pharmaceuticals responsibly when necessary and can recommend complementary therapies to support treatment. Our practice offers lots of support, including health coaching, nutrition consults, group classes, and virtual courses, so you don’t feel like you have to make lifestyle changes alone.
We believe that this is not “alternative medicine,” but the future of good medicine.
Providing primary care services for all members of the family from youth to elder care. For most patients, an evaluation will begin with an age-appropriate discussion of your overall current health status.
Based on the discussion of your medical history and any risk factors related to family history or pre-existing conditions, along with your wellness goals, a personalized health management plan can be designed and tailored to your specific preference and needs.
Our practice is dedicated to providing the highest quality family health care by embracing a holistic vision of well-being that acknowledges the interdependence of the body, mind, and spirit.
We treat the individual, not the disease, illness or injury. We enjoy practicing medicine for the entire family.
Childhood Vaccine Program
We know that you want to make the best choices for your children and we believe that the best choice is an informed choice.
At Center for Holistic Healthcare, we support childhood immunizations. However, we also understand that you may have questions and concerns about vaccinations. Our goal is to help you understand the risks and the benefits of immunizations, so that we can work together in the best interest of your child. Please feel free to discuss your questions with us.
Connecticut public schools now mandate full vaccinations as well as yearly influenza vaccines (for those in preschool and daycare). We cannot, ethically and legally, provide medical exemption letters for vaccinations unless medically warranted. Medical indications for exemptions include severe or anaphylactic reaction to a specific vaccination, permanent neurological deterioration after a vaccine with documentation, compromised immune status or severe egg allergy (i.e. for influenza vaccine).
All of the vaccines that we carry at Center for Holistic Healthcare are the safest formulations currently available on the market, in our best judgement. We can provide non-mandatory vaccines such as rotavirus and human papillomavirus (HPV). If you are interested in these vaccines, please discuss with us.
Understand that little or no research has been published regarding the efficacy and safety of any alternative vaccine schedule. Provision of alternative schedules is not an endorsement of any specific plan for your child. The CDC/AAP approved schedule is the U.S. standard of care. You can find the recommended childhood vaccine schedule here.
